LivWell Market is hiring several creative and passionate individuals for our market location at 8 Somersworth Plaza, Somersworth NH to support our Greek-inspired food service beginnings. Are you or someone you know interested in working for a small specialty food market starting at the ground level? We are looking for individuals who don’t shy from a challenge, who intentionally explore ways to be creative, and who find enjoyment in brightening the day for others. You will be a key contributor to our growth and evolution as we build along with the Somersworth Downtown.

About this position

Every great kitchen runs on a foundation that most guests never see. The Back Kitchen Support role is that foundation — keeping the dish station running and the prep lists moving, with growing involvement on the grocery floor as it comes to life. This role starts in the back and grows to influence every part of the business. Where We're Headed

LivWell Market will first open as a fast casual Greek kitchen with a small grocery corner. That is our humble beginning — our starting point and our first impression to the community. As we grow, a beautiful bar comes to life with coffee, tea, fresh juices, and other fast, interactive service. Our grocery expands into real, thoughtful, delicious prepared meals people can grab and bring home or eat on the go. Our secondary kitchen opens its doors to partnerships and collaborations, allowing LivWell Market to become a force multiplier. Eventually, our dining room transforms into both a full service Greek fine dining experience and training grounds for people aspiring to teach or learn about food. The same space, the same heart, deepening into something more. None of this happens by accident — it happens because people who believe in real food, real personal connection, and real hospitality build it, one shift, one partnership, one vision at a time. As Back Kitchen support, you’re already learning the systems (inventory, rotation, organization) that our expanding grocery floor will depend on as it grows.

Key Responsibilities:

🍅 Own the dish station — clean plates, utensils, and equipment throughout every shift

🍅 Assist with back kitchen prep, mise en place, and restocking the line

🍅 Support the secondary kitchen for prepared meals and catering production

🍅 Keep the back kitchen clean, organized, and food-safe at all times

🍅 Log food temperatures and maintain sanitation records per NH food safety standards

🍅 Assist front kitchen staff with food prep and service as needed

🍅 As our grocery offerings grow, you’ll help receive and stock deliveries

🍅 Help keep the store floor clean, organized, and visually beautiful

🍅 Learn FIFO product rotation to minimize waste

🍅 Assist guests in locating products and sharing the story behind them

What you’ll bring:

🍅 Quiet pride in doing essential work well — every shift, every time

🍅 Physical comfort with standing and lifting up to 40 lbs

🍅 Curiosity about food, Greek culture, and how a food business runs

🍅 ServSafe Manager certification (or willingness to obtain)

🍅 Flexible availability including weekends/holidays expected

What you’ll get:
